Description: The distribution of effluent throughout onsite systems does impact the long-term performance of the drainfield. This course will summarize how effluent is really distributed in gravity and pressure dosed systems with emphasis on the biomat development and long- term soil acceptance. Various concepts of dosing will be discussed focusing on time dosing and how it promotes system performance. Attendees will learn simplistic ways to incorporate time-dosing into any onlot system design and will see how time-dosing can be a good insurance policy for homeowners for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
